Police Donate Cash Gift to Local Charity

SURPRISE, AZ (January 8, 2008) The Surprise Police Department, on behalf of Kortman Electric Inc., donated $2,500 to the 100 Club of Arizona.

Kortman Electric asked the police to donate the $2,500 to a charity of their choice. Chief Dan Hughes selected the 100 Club Of Arizona, a club that is celebrating 40 years of helping the families of police officers, who are either injured or killed in the line of duty.

“We wanted this wonderful gift from Kortman Electric, to go to a cause near and dear to all of us who wear the uniform,” said Chief Dan Hughes.

 

 

November '07'

In conjunction with DL Withers, Kortman Electric recently finished the City of Surprise’s Public Safety Building.

The Public Safety Building houses headquarters for the Police and Fire Departments as well as the Surprise Municipal Court and the Surprise Prosecutor’s Office. The building comprises 94,000 square feet. Features include an indoor shooting range, the city’s Emergency Operations Center, the 911 dispatch center and a joint training center for Fire and Police which features an amphitheatre. The building also includes the new Surprise Broadcast Center.

 

April ‘07’

Kortman Electric is excited to announce the hiring of a new Director of Estimating. In April of ‘07’ Keith Waldrup joined the Kortman Electric team to head up the estimating department. Keith brings a wealth of knowledge in electrical construction and is eager to fill his new role. Prior to accepting his new role at Kortman Electric, Keith was employed as the Branch Manager for one of the largest electrical contractors in the US. Most recently, Keith was responsible for the electrical coordination and pre-construction services on the MGM Mirage’s $7 billion Project City Center for Perini. We are excited to have Keith on board.

November ‘06’

In conjunction with the Sundt Construction’s team, Kortman Electric recently finished the Town of Gilbert’s Fire Station #1.

Project Description: A state of the art 24,074 square foot, two story fire station including; battalion Headquarters, five apparatus bays and 17 dorm rooms. The 19-acre site is shared by Gilbert Police Department Facilities.
